Talia Dicker is dynamic and in-demand cellist with a passion for orchestral and chamber music. Originally hailing from Normal, IL, Talia received her Bachelors of Music with Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she studied with Brandon Vamos of the Pacifica Quartet. Talia went on to earn a Master of Music in Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Steven Doane and Rosemary Elliot. Leveraging her abiding enthusiasm for orchestral music, Talia then won a position with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Civic’s MusiCorps program was a perfect vehicle for Talia’s dedication to outreach and engagement. During this time, Talia conceived and presented comprehensive music education programs and string quartet performances in the Chicago Public School district and Chicago Parks Districts. Talia’s previous engagements include the Youth Orchestra of the Americas, the Colorado College Summer Music Festival Orchestra (where she was also a member of the honors chamber music program), the Southwest Michigan Symphony, the Illinois Symphony, and the Peoria Symphony. Talia currently resides in the New York City, where she is an active performer and teacher throughout the northeast corridor.
