The Illuminate String Quartet
Our modern string quartet is comprised of two violinists, one violist and one cellist. Our repertoire includes current Top 40 pop songs, hits from the 80s, 90s, and 2000’s as well as classic oldies. Upon request, our quartet will also mix in traditional classical music, Disney tunes and/or movie soundtracks.
Most wedding clients hire the quartet to play both the ceremony and cocktail hour. We also offer the option to add a percussionist to your cocktail hour, adding energy and anticipation for the reception. For smaller, more intimate weddings, the Illuminate String Quartet can play throughout the evening. For private parties or corporate events, the Illuminate String Quartet can play for the cocktail hour, sit-down dinner or the entire event.
Classical String Ensembles
Classical Soloist
Have a professional violinist, violist, cellist, harpist or pianist perform for your wedding ceremony and/or cocktail hour. Soloists typically perform classical music only. Soloists are ideal choices for small, intimate affairs of fewer than 25 guests. See our classical repertoire list.
Classical Duet
Have professional musicians perform for your wedding ceremony and/or cocktail hour. Options include: Two Violins, Violin & Viola, or Violin & Cello. The duet typically performs classical music only. Duets are a great choice for events with a guest count of 25-50 guests. See our duet repertoire list.
Classical Quartet
Have a professional string quartet perform for your wedding ceremony and/or cocktail hour. This ensemble is comprised of 2 violins, one viola and one cello. This quartet performs classical music only and is a great choice for weddings or events with a guest count of 50 or more. See our classical quartet repertoire list.
Additional Services
CEREMONY MUSIC:
We provide music for over 85 weddings each year. Have us provide the music for your wedding ceremony either at your venue or in a House of Worship. Please reach out to tell us more about the vision for your big day and we can recommend the best ensemble to fit your esthetic.
MUSIC ARRANGEMENT:
If your favorite song isn’t on our repertoire list, we can arrange it for you for a fee of $250/song. We need 2-3 months notice to arrange it and rehearse it before your event. See our popular repertoire list.
COCKTAIL HOUR PERCUSSION ACCOMPANIMENT:
Add a fun, energetic vibe to your cocktail hour, and get your guests in the mood to party at your reception by adding a percussionist to the Illuminate String Quartet. Please reach out for a quote and to check availability.
TRAVEL CHARGES:
Any event outside of a 50 mile radius of our office will be subject to a fee of 70 cents per mile, plus any toll or ferry fees.
Professional Recording Services
Our musicians are available for session work. Luminous Sounds works with recording studios, producers, and recording engineers to offer additional musicality that may be needed for a project.
